When Dr. Jim Gib Johnson asked her to be on the Claims Committee in 1997, he explained to Dr. Schriver how SVMIC is different. Several years later, she understood how much doctors benefit from the work done by SVMIC and was happy to become SVMIC's first woman Board member. Dr. Schriver still considers her involvement with SVMIC the best part of her professional career.
As a mother of three adult children, Dr. Schriver keeps pretty busy and has a love for anything outdoors.
