About our Guest

Dr. John McGraw

Dr. McGraw joined the Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic/OrthoTennessee in 2003, after 14 years of practice in Laurel, Mississippi. He anchored the Jefferson City office and practiced at Tennova/Jefferson Memorial Hospital where he served as Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery until his retirement from active practice in August 2015. He still serves on the hospital Board of Directors as Vice-Chair. In January 2016, Dr. McGraw became the Medical Director for OrthoTennessee, a musculoskeletal practice of over 100 providers. He was elected a Jefferson County Commissioner in September 2014 and served as Chair of the Finance Committee and Vice-Chair of the Budget and Audit Committees. He is chair of the Jefferson County Board of Health. COL (retired) McGraw served in the US Air Force and US Army for a combined 34 years of commissioned service. He served 3 combat deployments with the latest being Afghanistan in 2011-2012. He received multiple military honors including the Meritorious Service Award.
Dr. McGraw and his wife Ann make their home on a cattle farm in New Market. As a co-owner of Lakeway Broadcasting, LLC in Jefferson City which operates WJFC AM/FM and WNRX FM, he hosts Morning Coffee with Doc every Monday morning. The 2 hour show features local, state and national elected officials and community leaders. In 2007-2008, Dr. McGraw served as President of the Southern Orthopaedic Association (SOA). In 2009, he was elected to represent SOA on the Board of Councilors (BOC) of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). He was elected Secretary of the BOC and ascended to the Chair of the BOC 2014-2015, also serving on the Board of Directors of the AAOS.

About our Host

J. Baugh is a Senior Claims Attorney for SVMIC. Mr. Baugh graduated from Lipscomb University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and from the Nashville School of Law with a J.D. degree. He is currently licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant and as an Attorney in the State of Tennessee. He has been a member of the Claims Department of SVMIC since 2000.
